NEW GLASGOW – An upcoming end-of-year recital will celebrate the hard work of Monica George Punke’s students.

Eighteen young singers will each perform their favourite song from this year.

These will range from folk songs, to Italian arias, Musical theatre pieces to recently composed arts songs with a group getting together to sing Red River Valley, one of their favourite pieces from this year’s New Glasgow Music Festival.

The singers range in age from seven to 18 years.

They will be accompanied at this recital by Sandra Johnson and Jane Miller.

Everyone is welcome to attend and support these young singers.

Admission is by donation to benefit the Nova Scotia Talent Trust – a fund that has benefited many talented local musicians in the past.

It will take place Sunday at 3.30 p.m. at St George’s Anglican Church in New Glasgow.
