On Aug. 16, 1977, the world received the news that Elvis Presley had died at home in his Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.
Thirty-seven years later to the day, International World Champion Elvis tribute artist Thane Dunn and his Cadillac Kings will celebrate the life and music of the King of Rock and Roll with a show at the deCoste Centre.
The new Remembering Elvis show will feature old favourites as well as songs new to the Moncton impersonator’s repertoire.
“We never do the same show twice but we have gone all out this year to make this our best show,” Dunn said, adding that their first and only show at the deCoste sold out.
Dunn has been regarded as the ‘full Elvis package’ due to his physical resemblance, similar Elvis voice and matching moves.
All of his stage suits are exact replicas of the elaborate jumpsuits popularized by Presley.
Dunn’s newly revamped eight-piece band consists of three ECMA winners, the Shai Gospel winner of recording of the year and a new female soprano singer from England.
Tickets can be purchased at the deCoste box office, by phone at (902) 485-8848 or 1-800-353-5338 and online at www.decostecentre.ca.
