PASADENA, Calif. — Randy Jackson, brother of the late Michael Jackson, has been hospitalized in Southern California.

A source close to the Jackson family who spoke only on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly told The Associated Press that the 48-year-old Jackson experienced chest pains around noon on Tuesday and was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena where he is currently awaiting the outcome of tests. The source said doctors at the hospital think it was a mild heart attack, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Randy Jackson was in court in Los Angeles Monday for a pretrial hearing for Dr. Conrad Murray, who’s charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. California authorities sought to have Murray’s California medical license suspended, but the judge refused.
