STELLARTON – The building that once housed Dobson's office supplies downstairs and apartment upstairs is still waiting to be demolished.
While the Town of Stellarton was expecting demolition to begin as early as November, Marinus Verhagen, who has been hired to do the demolition work, says it probably won't start until the new year.
He said part of the problem is that the building located on Foord Street in Stellarton’s downtown is attached to the Needs store and he is concerned that by tearing down the old building the Needs wall won't be able to support itself.
The building had been condemned by the fire marshal several years ago and the town has had to go through a court battle to get the right to get to tear it down.
In Stellarton’s last committee of the whole meeting last week, town engineer Tony Addis said he had expected the demolition to begin any day.

It's a conspiracy. The Big History lobbyists are leaning hard on the elected officials to keep the past out of the news. Scandalous.
