The Crushers went into the Christmas break on a high with two wins last week and a three point cushion on second place.

Geoff Hum, Robbie Little, Trent MacDonald and Scott McDonald scored for the home side. Justin Collier made 43 saves earning the win between the pipes.
On Friday night in Amherst, the Crushers played a solid defensive effort edging the hometown Ramblers 2-1.
Geoff Hum and Cody Roland found the back of the net for the Crushers while Nick Spear stopped 32 shots in his first win in black and red.
The Crushers return to action with a road game on Jan. 2 in Dieppe against the Commandos. Next home game will come on Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. at the John Brother MacDonald Stadium as part of a double-header day with the Weeks Midgets.
The midgets play at 11:30 a.m. against the Cape Breton Tradesmen while the Amherst Ramblers pay a visit to the Crushers.
Crusher of the Week
This week's Crusher of the Week goes to newcomer Nick Spear. Nick made 32 saves in his first start with the Crushers and earned his first win in the MJAHL after a difficult season with the Campbellton Tigers last year.
On behalf of the Crushers organization, I would like to wish all of the Crushers fans a Merry Christmas.
