Driver not injured when truck overturns on highway exit

NEW GLASGOW - A loaded dump truck ended up in the ditch beside Exit 22 around noon Friday, likely due to mechanical issues.
Const. Shane Foster says the driver of the dump truck, owned by King Freight Lines, was exiting Highway 104 headed to Pictou when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The truck ended up on its side in the ditch, spilling a load of rocks. The driver, a male in his 30s, was not injured in the incident.
Vehicle Compliance is assisting in the investigation to determine if the suspected mechanical issue was at the root of the incident.
Alcohol and speed weren't factors in the crash, Foster added.
The truck was enroute to the new sewage treatment facility being constructed in Pictou at the time of the incident.
