FRANKFURT, Germany - Data shows German exports rose 3.8 increase in September from August but still remain 18.8 per cent below last year's levels.
The Federal Statistical Office said Monday that imports also rose, by 5.8 per cent from August, but were down 16.3 per cent from September of 2008.
The statistical office, based in Wiesbaden, says the world's biggest exporter and Europe's biggest economy exported goods valued at C70 billion ($105 billion) in September and imported goods valued at C59.4 billion.
