The Hector Arena Capital Fund approached Dalhousie Mountain Wind Farm a few months ago outlining the need to raise money to continue the restoration of the rink.
The donation to the agricultural community will help carry out the vision of the Hector Arena to expand into a multi-use facility and ensure their continued use of the facility for years to come.
For Friday's event, RMSenergy and Firelight Infrastructure Partners made the official donation at the Dalhousie Mountain Wind Farm. Reuben Burge and Mike Kosiancic presented the cheque to David Parker and Bob Naylor, who have both worked continually over the years in community events and especially for the restoration of the Hector Arena.
