NATURAL JOURNEY COLUMN BY LISA MCNIVEN
OK… so you are feeling under the weather, your throat is getting sore, your aches and pains are just waiting to introduce themselves. You have decided that you will promise yourself two comedies a week, as laughing and trying to be positive aids in the healing process.
You begin to gargle with some tea tree oil (five drops in a glass of water) and notice that your throat is feeling better. You seek out some herbal throat spray. You get a friend or family member to run out and get you some curcumin, astragalus and maybe some vitamin C.
If your sinuses are filled you may want to get some all-natural nasal spray made by Heel. If you have small children there are liquid herbals specifically made for them to boost their system. They are very effective. Seeing an ND can help with setting a formal individualized protocol while at the same time educating the parents.
Homeopathic medicines are extremely effective for colds and flus as well as Chinese medicine. Acupuncture is very helpful in dealing with painful sinuses.
Stay strong and watch out for stressful events as they tend to cause havoc to the immune system.
