NATURAL JOURNEY BY LISA MCNIVEN
Really? Aging is inevitable, as we all know, but we can control the speed at which we get there by eating foods filled with free radical-fighting antioxidants. Basically, we are slowing down the “rust formation.” Think of foods that have nutrients in them such as vitamins C, B and E, vitamin A and silica, and omega oils.
Smoking, pollution, stress and overexposure to sun are just some of the things that increase the speed at which we age. Foods that have a strong antioxidant effect include grapes, avocado, almonds, barley, soybean (do not ingest if you have thyroid issues or heavy periods), sardines, eggs, green tea, water and olive oil.
Fruits and vegetables in general have many benefits so try to include lots in your daily diet. If you find it difficult to do this look at supplementing with dried ones in capsulated forms. Call our office for details.
