Christmas concert at St. Andrews

St. Andrews Presbyterian Church was alive with the sound of music on Sunday evening , as the Kirk ( St. Andrews, Pictou ) hosted the five Pictou churches in a glorious service of scripture readings, choir and congregational singing. As well Elizabeth Sharpe of St Andrews offered a solo and the bell choir of First Presbyterian played and sang .

Jacquie Ross of the Kirk offered a welcome. Faye Blenkhorne gave an introduction of the format of the  evening saying that   a reader  from each church would read scripture, that church’s choir would perform  two selections and a congregational carol would follow. An ensemble of the five Pictou church choirs   would  close the service.

Judy Corman offered thanks to the  members of the five Pictou churches for their participation in this project a nd to all who came  out to attend the service . Those reading were Rev. Peter Armstrong ,Rev Gael Matheson, Jacquie Ross, Rev. Mary Beth Moriarity, Sadie O’Hearn, and Luke and Kelly Mac Donald  A special thanks was extended to the directors and accompanists: Rev. Gail Matheson, Judy Corman and Kim Hayden. David and Shelly Pos, Terri Chisholm and Mike Paquette and Joan Clark,

Jacquie Ross offered the benediction and invited all to join in a time of fellowship

A freewill offering was taken in aid of the Pictou County Fuel Fund.
