The New Glasgow and Area Highland Garden club continues to sponsor garden related projects.

During Provincial Garden Week, June 1 - 7th, the club will revitalize gardens at the New Glasgow Library, the Town Watering Trough, and the Amber Kirwan Monument Garden.

Assistance will also be given to the gardens at the Aberdeen Hospital and to the Carmichael Stewart House Museum.

The club's annual perennial garden sale will be held on Saturday, May 31st at the Farmers' Market beginning at 8:30 a.m.  All plants will be bargain priced so that as many people as possible will be able to make purchases.

Each plant will be named and suggestions will be made as to where it should be planted.  Club members will be present to answer your gardening questions.

A warm welcome goes out to all who wish to make purchases, and to all those who would like to join the garden club. Knowledge of gardening is not necessary.  Those who wish to have fun in an inviting and accepting atmosphere while learning about plants, should seriously consider joining the garden club which meets the fourth Tuesday from the months of September to June.

Garden visitations and tours are held during the summer months.  For further information, please see one of the garden club members at the sale, or phone John at 752-1677.
