NEW?GLASGOW - A Westville man accused of impaired driving and failing a breathalyser has been given a month to find a lawyer.
Thomas Wayne Lloyd, 64, was ready to plead guilty to the charges in New Glasgow provincial court on Monday without even reading the disclosure evidence provided by the Crown, but listened to advice the Crown gave him to get a lawyer.
Lloyd is accused of driving a truck while under the influence of alcohol on Nov. 16 in Westville.
A car accident resulted from the incident. Lloyd has a prior record which could lead to the Crown giving notice of greater penalty.
Lloyd will be back in court to answer to the charges on Jan. 4.
