Pictou’s deCoste Centre unveils spring lineup of entertainment

PICTOU – The deCoste Centre kicks off its 30th year with a spring lineup featuring ballet, hypnotists, Cinderella and sing music.

The first show on the line-up is blues performer Ray Bonneville on March 8. The Carleton Show Band will perform a pre-St. Patrick’s Day concert on March 14.

The comedy How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will be presented by the Pictou Rotary Club March 28, 30 and 31.

Bluegrass band The Spinney Brothers will perform at the centre on April 12. Master Hypnotist Cyrus brings his form of entertainment April 21.

Dave Carroll returns to the deCoste April 27 and the New Glasgow Music Festival’s Stars of the Festival will be highlighted on April 29.

The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Nova Scotia will present The Gondoliers May 5 and will be followed by Pictou Academy’s production of The Truth of Cinderella May 10 and 11.

The Northumberland Youth Ballet, with dancers from Ashlei Ballet School, will have its debut performance May 13.

The Halifax Feast Theatre will present Pirates of Cape Breton May 14.

Veteran songwriter Barney Bentall will perform at the deCoste for the first time on June 5.

The Booty Boppin’ Brass Band will offer classic swing music on June 12.
