A pancake supper at the Wentworth Recreation Centre will kick off the Maple Producers Association of Nova Scotia's annual Maple Festival.
Several service organizations and community groups host maple themed events in communities across the province to raise funds for their local projects and to promote Nova Scotian maple syrup.
The first event of the year will be held on March 8 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the centre on Highway 4, Wentworth Valley.
Pancakes and plenty of maple syrup will be served, along with sausages, baked beans, brown bread, cake, tea, coffee, milk and juice. Maple products will be available for purchase.
For more information contact Betty Curry at 548-2682.
