Run Against Racism will continue in some format; details to come

NEW GLASGOW - The event to succeed the annual Run Against Racism is shaping up and an announcement regarding its details should be made within the next week.
Peter White, a member of a committee developing the event, said organizers will likely hold a news conference early next week to give the public an idea of what it will look like.
More than that he couldn't say.
"There is a committee that is trying to re-establish the run - the details of that are all still up in the air until that gets announced."
A tradition that grew steadily during two decades in Pictou County, New Glasgow resident Henderson Paris developed the Run Against Racism. Last year Paris, who has remained central to the event for 20 years, said the 2009 run would be his last.
