NEW GLASGOW - Two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, following a two-vehicle collision on a residential street on New Glasgow's east side.
The collision occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of MacGregor Street and Washington Street.
The two injured in the crash were travelling in a Toyota Corolla, when it was struck by a Ford pickup. The impact of the crash set off the Toyota's airbags and crushed the passenger side of the vehicle.
Const. Ken MacDonald of the New Glasgow Police Service said the driver of the truck faces charges under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield the right of way.
Police say they are continuing an investigation into the crash.
