Quake-weary people cram Cdn. compound in Port-au-Prince

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Dozens of people have crammed into the Canadian compound in Port-au-Prince in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
The Canadian military has already evacuated more than 100 people from the city where a massive humanitarian effort continues.
Outside the embassy gates, Haitians huddle before heaps of rubble that used to be their homes.
Canadian law enforcement officials say the next 48 hours will be critical for the country's security.
They are concerned a population dazed by devastation could soon grow restive as vital supplies, such as food and water, continue to grow scarce.
At least four Canadians have died as a result of the quake and at least four others are missing. RCMP Sgt. Mark Gallagher is the fourth Canadian confirmed killed in Tuesday's quake, along with an Ontario nurse and a couple from Montreal.
