Historian, author and retired judge Clyde Macdonald was presented a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal by Central Nova MP Peter MacKay during the Town of New Glasgow's Levee Tuesday.  Throughout the years, Macdonald has donated the sale of his books to the Pictou County Roots Society, established the Sunny Brae Veterans Memorial and is a volunteer with the Pioneer Cemetery committee. He recently helped spearhead a project that helped restore and display the 150-year-old stained glass windows at the Pictou Justice Centre.
