Weeks wins $2 million contract for repaving section of highway

PICTOU – A $2 million contract to repave a portion of Highway 106 has been awarded to S.W. Weeks Contracting.

The project will see Highway 106 repaved from the intersection of Highway 104 for 7.2 kilometres to Exit 2, south of Pictou.

It includes repaving the ramps at Exit 2 and installing rumble strips on Highway 106.

The cost of the project totals $2,192,230 and is shared by the provincial and federal government.
