New Glasgow – County residents will be able to learn how to better protect themselves from fraud this month when the Financial Consulting Agency of Canada holds a workshop in New Glasgow.
The town was one of three spots in Atlantic Canada chosen for the workshop, which will give area residents tips on protecting themselves from fraud and identity theft.
“It’s designed to give information to citizens so they can protect themselves,” explained Const. Ken MacDonald with New Glasgow Police, which is offering the workshop in conjunction with Crime Prevention and the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.
The session will be held on March 26 at the New Glasgow Library from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Anyone interested in participating in the workshop is asked to pre-register by calling New Glasgow Police at 755-8318.
