NEW GLASGOW - As if the rush to get gifts for Christmas wasn’t enough, a second wave of shoppers in Pictou County are taking advantage of Boxing Day sales.

Most stores are offering sales on their regularly priced inventory and further price reductions on sale items. Signs indicate sales of up to 75% and 80% on certain items.

Many individuals, couples and families were out and about to use newly acquired gift cards from Christmas or to simply take advantage of the savings.
