ANTIGONISH – A 20-year-old Antigonish man will appear in provincial court today in connection with a robbery from a convenience store.

RCMP say a male suspect entered the Needs Convenience Store on James Street in Antigonish just before midnight Monday.  The man demanded money from the clerk and fled the store with a quantity of cash. Police were given a description and a nearby officer located the suspect. The man resisted arrest but was taken into custody.

Police credit the action of the clerk and the working video surveillance that led to the identification and quick arrest of the suspect.
