COLLINGWOOD – The Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit arrested a Collingwood man and seized drugs and a firearm during a search of his residence on Friday.

Members of the unit exercised the search warrant at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Friday, seizing approximately 40 pounds of marijuana, several capsules of cannabis resin, a firearm and ammunition.

Terry Wood, 52, has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, uttering threats to police officers, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance order, possession of cannabis resin and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and the production of cannabis resin.

A breach of his conditional sentence has been filed.

Wood is remanded in custody and will appear in Amherst provincial court on Monday.
