A family and their pets are safe after a blaze caused fire, smoke and water damage early this morning. Authorities responded to a house fire at 111 Campbell Road in Chance Harbour at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 8.

CHANCE HARBOUR - A family and their pets are safe after a blaze caused fire, smoke and water damage to their home early this morning.

Authorities responded to the house fire at 111 Campbell Road in Chance Harbour at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 8.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and unknown at this time.

The Canadian Red Cross was on hand to provide emergency lodging for the night and provided the couple and two girls with blankets and personal-care kits.
