A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. tonight to talk about the future of East Pictou Middle School.
Specifically they’ll be talking about what the impact would be if the school was to close.
The school has been one of the ones selected for review by the Chignecto Central Regional School Board.
A committee is gathering information to report back to board on the impact.
Debbie Buott Matheson, CCRSB spokesperson said by the end of the month the report will be filed by the end of this month.
She said the important thing to remember is that even if the board decides that East Pictou could be closed, it wouldn’t happen right away. She said it’d be more like five years between a review process and actual closure.
“There’s no decision that’s been made yet,” she said. “It’s not an easy process.”
