New features added as music festival celebrates 75th

NEW GLASGOW – Preparations are well underway for the 75th Annual New Glasgow Music Festival to be held in April of this year.

There will also be a 75th Gala Celebration to be held on May 25 at the deCoste Entertainment Centre, which will feature past participants of the festival who have gone on to become professional musicians.

Organizers say there are lots of changes in store for this year’s festival including a new logo, new motto, online registrations, online donations and new program format. This year’s festival will also feature band workshops, a new class where bands get to perform and immediately following will have a workshop with an adjudicator.

This year registration for Musical Theatre can be done online and payment can be made through PayPal. Registration forms for the main festival are available online at www.newglasgowmusicfestival.org. All registrations must be completed and submitted by Jan. 11. Completed registration forms can be dropped off at H&R Music.
