WESTVILLE – The Pictou County Blues Society is organizing another season of blues performances in the area and is kicking it off with East Coast-based blues band Shirley Jackson and Her Good Rockin’ Daddys.

The 2003 Maple Blues Award winner will perform in Westville Sat., Jan. 26, at 9 p.m. at The Whitetail Pub and Grill.

“Promoting the band's latest album, ‘When The Money's All Gone’ and after a solid tour through Alberta this past summer, which included playing the Calgary International Blues Festival, Shirley and her band are heading to your town,” a release from the society said.

The concert is in support of Tearmann House in New Glasgow. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available for purchase at The White Lotus on Provost Street in New Glasgow, H&R Music and at The Whitetail Pub.
