County council assists various community groups

PICTOU – Three local community groups have received some financial assistance from the Municipality of Pictou County.

The Lismore Community Association received a $150 recreation grant to put towards the District 1 Seniors Outreach Program, the Scotsburn 55 Plus Club received the same amount toward club expenses and the North Nova Education Centre received a $100 recreation grant to assist members of the school’s music program with their travel expenses to New York.
