Forty-three days after taking over Acadia Lines routes, Maritime Bus says they are listening to public complaints and stepping up to deal with the issues.

"The strength of a company is to listen to the customer and continually try to improve the operation,” Mike Cassidy, president of Maritime Bus, said in a release this week.

That’s why the company introduced a new schedule which started yesterday to help suit their customers needs. The new schedule is also balanced to match the ridership volume levels with the number of buses on the roadways with additional travel options available on the higher traffic days of Friday and Sunday, the release said.

Cassidy said the last 43 days have been the most rewarding and, at the same time, the most challenging period in his transportation career.

In six weeks they moved more than 17,000 passengers and shipped more than 8,000 parcels.
