UPDATED: New Glasgow Regional Police Service have arrested a second man in relation to a Sunday home invasion.

A 25-year-old from New Glasgow was arrested Sunday night in addition to a 23-year-old from Stellarton who police arrested earlier in the day. Both have been released on strict conditions said Const. Ken MacDonald.

NEW GLASGOW - The New Glasgow Regional Police Service have arrested a 23-year-old adult male from Stellarton in relation to a home invasion and an assault.

At around 4 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, New Glasgow Regional Police Service was dispatched to a New Glasgow residence after receiving a complaint of an assault taking place

The call was made after the suspects fled the residence. The victim was not physically injured. The suspect was arrested without incident shortly after.

New Glasgow Regional Police Service members and the Major Crime Unit are continuing the investigation. The suspect is in custody and charges are anticipated.

Police investigation so far suggests that this was an isolated incident.

The New Glasgow Regional Police Service is also looking for additional suspects that were involved in the home invasion at the time of the incident.

The New Glasgow Regional Police Service Major Crime Unit is investigating the matter and is asking anyone with any information to call the New Glasgow Regional Police.
