PICTOU – Coun. Leonard Fraser has asked that the county start taking steps need to tear down the former Superline building in Salt Springs.

He said he has heard concerns from residents in the areas who feel the building is unsafe and being destroyed by vandals.

“Kids hang out in it and it needs to be taken down and cleaned up before someone is hurt,” he said.

The building is owned by a number company in Halifax, but has fallen behind on tax payments.   However, the county has never put it in its tax sales because of other legal and environmental issues.
