NEW GLASGOW - Beyond the pictures, speech boxes and sometimes campy plots, comics have matured and evolved into something to be enjoyed by both young and old.

That's according to Brian Fitzpatrick, a life-long lover of everything related to comics. Originally from Edmonton, he has moved to Pictou County and can't wait to share his stories on comics and comic books.

Fitzpatrick will be leading a discussion open to all on the evolution, appeal, and more of comics on January 30 at 7 p.m. at the New Glasgow Public Library.
