After a long stretch of frigid weather, Pictou County may see warmer temperatures later this week.
Warm weather is coming, but not before some light snow and freezing rain fall on us, according to Environment Canada.
Today the department is calling for a a mix of sun and cloud with 40 percent chance of flurries late this morning and a high of minus 3. Tonight there will be a low of minus 16.
Cloudy. Periods of light snow beginning in the morning then changing to ice pellets mixed with freezing rain and then changing to rain in the afternoon. Rainfall amount 2 mm. Wind south 20 km/h increasing to 40 gusting to 60 in the afternoon. High 8.
