BIG ISLAND - The handful of humble fishing shacks around Big Island were no match for Mother Nature.

Winds gusting up to 90 km/h tossed the shacks from the ice up to the shoreline and in some cases, along the side of the road.

At least seven of the shacks, composed of wood and tarps, were damaged or destroyed.
