STELLARTON – The sounds of construction crews and renovations fill the multipurpose room Stellarton’s Town Hall.
Tony Addis, the Town’s Engineer, says the room is undergoing renovations because it’s tired and old.
“Some of the large sliding doors have been grinding into the floor and there’s lots of surface mounted wiring we’ll put in the walls where they belong,” said Addis.
Public Works crews are handling the construction and renovations, which aim to keep the heritage feel of the room while ensuring modern features.
The renovations are part of a plan proposed by the Town of Stellarton to renovate and modernize their facilities.
