It's cool and clear in New Glasgow this morning. Environment Canada says that will essentially be the weather for today, so bundle up if you're heading outside.

PICTOU COUNTY - While Shubenacadie Sam caught a glimpse of his shadow predicting six more weeks of winter, Canada's other famous rodent weatherman Wiarton Willie did not see his shadow.

Whether we will have an early spring remains to be seen. Here's what the weather predictors at Environment Canada have to say:

Today: Mainly sunny. Wind northwest 20 km/h becoming light late this morning. High minus 8.

Tonight: Increasing cloudiness. Low minus 10.
