Join me tomorrow morning where we'll be talking about the morning's biggest stories and I'll feature some of the comments from our stories. Here's a last screen-shot from that Starbucks job posting. See you tomorrow AM!

8:40: The twitterverse is abuzz with news that a Starbucks will be opening in New Glasgow. We know their hiring a store manager, but where is the franchise's location?

8:20: I'd love to have some pictures sent in of your staff or employees sporting their best sewaters for National Sweater Day. Tweet me @NGNewsJohn or e-mail me john.brannen@ngnews.ca.

8:15: Did you know that tomorrow is National Sweater Day? On February 7th, businesses and individals are encouraged to lower your heat and wear a sweater, to conserve energy and take action against climate change.

8:10: I think we have confirmation that Starbuck's is coming to New Glasgow. Take a look: https://starbucks.taleo.net/careersection/cndaext002/jobdetail.ftl?lang=en&radiusType=K&location=200000032&searchExpanded=true&radius=1&job=492037&src=JB-202

8:05: Apparently they're hiring for a Starbucks Manager in New Glasgow? The Starbucks coffee shop surely will follow! Anyone have any info about this?

8:00: Here's a look at the front page today, winter fun in Stellarton and of course, the story about the school closures. What are you thoughts on this issue - e-mail, tweet or give me a call at 301-2567.

7:53: Our reporter Amy MacKenzie was at the important meeting last night where the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board is looking at potentially closing five schools in the district: Bass River Elementary, East Pictou Middle School, Maitland District Elementary School, River John Consolidated School and Wentworth Consolidated School.

Comment on the story or tweet me to discuss this important issue.

7:50: Const. Ken MacDonald says last night was a quiet night in New Glasgow with no incidents to report.

7:45: Today's weather calls for a mix of sun and cloud. High minus 7.

Tonight: Increasing cloudiness. Periods of snow beginning near midnight. Amount 5 cm. Local blowing snow overnight. Wind becoming northwest 50 km/h gusting to 70 overnight. Temperature rising to minus 5 this evening then falling.

Thank Environment Canada!

Amy, I'm from New Glasgow PEI and if you knew anything about PEI, you'd know that New Glasgow PEI is a tiny farming community population 150 people and has about 3 businesses. Trust me, Starbucks is definitely not going there! I'd say a safe bet for Starbucks is the Albion Business Park or Westville Road in NG, Pictou County. Ideally, I'd love to see it downtown to revitalize the place (and that may still be the case) but my bet is on the west side or in the Albion Business Park.

It's actually not coming to NG... do your research before you get the younger generation excited. If you look at the locations on starbucks.com there is one in New Glasgow PEI. That is the only location that comes up when you put in New Glasgow. Wait to go NG News. Failing as per usual.

Because PC is full of people who will buy coffee at twice the price? With 20 Tim Hortons in the area? Whoever invests in this will regret it.

I will definitely pay twice the price for Starbucks! I can't even drink Tim Hortons coffee.

Can't wait. Always glad to see new development come to town. Obviously there is a market for the types of product Starbucks provides. Tim's and McDonald's both introduced them to their menu within the last year. Besides Tim Horton's coffee tastes like what I imagine an ashtray filled with rain water tastes like.
