7:25 - Take a minute to read some of our articles on The News this morning. There's quite a few comments on the Trenton Town Council issuing a statement on the closure of the NSLC. What are your thoughts on this issue?

Here's what people are saying so far:

"The econmy is the reason for all the closers in Trenton and all over Nova Scotia there is no blame. It is time for amalgamation the upper towns are in danger of the falling econmy. The cost of running the towns is growing and with people going west there has to be amalgamation for survival of the towns of Pictou County. Plan for the future and stop trying to find blame for poor econmy."

"Now is the time to put out tenders for hitching posts, water troughs, and hay dispensers. Trenton is no different that the rest of the uptown towns, they have priced themselves out of the commercial market with their high taxes on both residential and commercial properties. There seems to be a lot of bluster when a booze store closes, but very little when a backbone industry does the same. Maybe they too could investigate the jamboree business, as according to the New Glasgow town hall millions are there just for the picking, that is if it not all eaten up in salaries and benefits for those making such nonsense claims."

7:15 - So it's Valentine's Day, what are your plans today? Is someone special taking you out for dinner? Are you expecting roses? Let me know what your Valentine's Day is going to be like!
