The Town of New Glasgow Engineering Department sent out a release this morning to advise motorists that traffic signals at the intersection of George Street and Riverside Parkway will be flashing for the next several weeks.

Further work is required to repair the wiring of these signals and this work will be weather dependent; the lights will be flashing red until this work is completed, engineer Earl MacKenzie stated.

The lights to be fixed cannot come soon enough. Huge line up every time i go that way now. Worst of all half the ppl don't know how to go about a four way stop. Making it extremely unsafe specially with the turning lane coming off the bridge. I just hope they are fixed before someone get really hurt.

Outside of half the population of Pictou County NOT knowing what to do at a Flashing Red Intersection, I say keep it Flashing too!

It works better as a 4 way stop anyways ! Save money and power. Put 4 stop signs there instead
