Police seize about four pounds of drugs

SUNNY BRAE – Local police seized about four pounds of cannabis marijuana including forty plants in various stages of growth in Sunny Brae Wednesday morning.

At 9 a.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) with the assistance of the Pictou County RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on East River West Side Road in relation to an ongoing drug investigation.

In a press release, police stated that a 24-year-old person from Sunny Brae was arrested without incident and will appear at a later date in Pictou Provincial Court.  The suspect face charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including production of cannabis marijuana and possession of cannabis marihuana.

    Im glad these are off the street and the taxpayers put money towards this because now there will be no drugs anywhere... we have to put more money towards these programs and get more cops just get thousands of cops we shouldnt worry about social programs or food or jobs just more cops then no one will do drugs ever again jsut a little more money towards busting people thats all we need ....
