Youths arrested for break and enters and stealing vehicles

Pictou County RCMP and Westville Police arrested three youths for break and enters and thefts of vehicles throughout Pictou County and Westville.

On Feb. 22, police responded to reports of thefts of motor vehicles and break and enters into residences as well as the Pictou Library. On Feb. 23, three youths all from Pictou County were arrested.

One of the youths was released with charges to appear in court at a later date, while two of them were remanded to appear in Pictou Provincial Court today on the following charges: three counts of break and enter into residences, break and enter into business, four counts of theft of motor vehicle and two breach of probation.

Police recovered the four stolen vehicles and continue to investigate.
