Police say the shooting of a man in Halifax on Monday is drug related.
At about 10:40 p.m., police received a call about someone being shot at a residence in the 6000 block of Chebucto Road.
The 25-year-old victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was taken to a Halifax hospital with a serious but not life-threatening injury.
On Tuesday, police said they didn’t believe the shooting was random. In another update Wednesday, police say a search of the residence where the victim was found resulted in marijuana, hash, cash and drug paraphernalia being seized.
Investigators are now looking for two men believed to be involved in the shooting. One is described as white, stocky, five-foot-four, with medium length hair, a large straight nose and small eyes. He was said to be wearing a black pea coat, grey hoodie, blue jeans and a purple T-shirt.
The other man is described as black, six-foot-twom, slender build and with a shaved head or clean-cut head. He was wearing dark clothing with a bandana over his face.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
