The demolition has begun at the former New Glasgow Junior High School on Albert Street. The building is being torn down so a new primary to eight school can be built in its place. Dora Construction won the contract to build the new facility and is responsible for the demolition of the existing building.  The new school expected to be open in September 2014.

More to come...

It's a sad day. I'd love to have one of the boards with "DISORDER" engraved in it. Many many memories in those walls for a couple generations of my family. RIP NGHS.

I'm kind of sad to see the old school go. I have so many great memories of the school, classmates, teachers and all the things that took place in my teenage years more than forty years ago. And the memories always came back to mind whenever I passed the place.
