PICTOU – A 22-year-old Lyons Brook man charged with possessing six pounds of bath salts will return to court April 15 to enter a plea.
Jordan T. F Stewart made a brief appearance in provincial court Monday, but his lawyer requested more time before he entered a plea because of some delays with disclosure.
Stewart was charged in January after the Picotu County Integrated Street Crime Unit stopped a car in Lyons Brook and seized some marijuana. Officer searched Stewart’s home later on and found six pounds of methylenedioxypyrovalerone, also known as MDPV or bath salts, valued at $400,000. They also found some more marijuana, valued at about $5,000.
He faces possession for the purpose of trafficking methylenedioxypyrovalerone, possession of cannabis marijuana not in excess of one gram and possession of cannabis resin in excess of 30 grams.
A 20-year-old woman was also charged and will appear in court later this month.
