Lance Gordon Phillips, 26, appeared in provincial court briefly Wednesday morning and had his counsel, David Mahoney, enter the pleas on his behalf.
Mahoney said he's still waiting on additional disclosure from the federal crown attorney and wanted an adjournment before setting a trial date.
Phillips, of 15 Easthill Ct., Hilden, is charged with unlawful possession of chemicals known to produce a controlled substance - methamphetamine - and unlawfully producing a substance - methamphetamine - under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He's also facing firearms charges, including unsafe handling and transport of a loaded 12-guage pump-action shotgun, possession of a loaded shotgun for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm without a license and operating a motor vehicle knowing it contained a loaded firearm.
Phillips has elected to be tried before a provincial court judge.
He will return to court on April 3 at 9:30 a.m. to set a trial date.
He was arrested on Dec. 11 after RCMP investigators dismantled the meth lab in a trailer on Matheson Drive in Salmon River. With a search warrant, the RCMP Synthetic Drug Section and Clandestine Lab Enforcement Response Team entered the premises on Dec. 12, where they found chemicals, equipment and residue of unidentified substances related to the production of methamphetamine.
Phillips was renting the trailer where the meth lab was dismantled.
