DeCoste Centre announces spring lineup

PICTOU – The deCoste Centre in Pictou has announced their spring lineup and folk, country and blues acts along with plays and ballet are among its upcoming events.

The first show of the season features Evans & Doherty on March 15 followed by the musical tribute to Frankie Valli “Oh What a Night!” on March 21.

The Rotary Club of Pictou presents the musical ‘Sweet Charity’ on April 4, 5 and 6 followed by the Pictou Academy production of ‘The Lady Pirates of Cree,’ a musical comedy in two acts. 

George Canyon returns to the deCoste on April 12 and Matt Andersen makes his debut at the Centre on April 21. 

Master Hypnotist Cyrus will perform his mind-bending show on April 27 and the Stars of the New Glasgow Music Festival hit the stage at the deCoste on Sunday, April 28 for a matinee performance.

The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Nova Scotia present ‘The Mikado’ at the deCoste on May 4 and Cinderella the Ballet will be on stage May 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. for a family presentation.

Mother’s Day on May 12 will see two very different shows at the deCoste – a matinee featuring harpists Ardyth & Jennifer and an evening show with Steve Patterson, stand-up comedian and host of The Debaters on CBC radio.  The 75th anniversary gala of the New Glasgow Music Festival will be hosted at the deCoste on May 25.

Ennis, a folk pair from Newfoundland will hit the stage on June 2 followed by a D-Day Tribute—The Pipes of Remembrance on Thursday, June 6. Tickets are now on sale for all deCoste Centre performances and are available at the box office, by phone at 1-800-353-5338 or 485-8848 and can also be ordered online at HYPERLINK "http://www.decostecentre.ca/"www.decostecentre.ca.
