New Glasgow police arrest man for trafficking

Pictou Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit have charged a 18-year-old Pictou County man with Trafficking of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Thursday at approximately 6:15 pm, New Glasgow Regional Police Service were conducting traffic enforcement on Westville Road, New Glasgow when a motorist was stopped. As a result of this traffic stop, the man was arrested and searched and a large quality cannabis marijuana was seized.

The vehicle a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier was seized. The driver was also charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for no valid licence. He has been released on conditions and will attend court on June 03 at 9:30 a.m. in Pictou Provincial Court.
