Volunteers are busy today at LORDA park where the first boil of maple sap is underway.
It takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. Each year the park taps the trees and processes the sap as a way to attract visitors and sells the finished products as a way to raise money for the non profit.
Visitors are invited to come out and check out the process.
To get to LORDA you take exit 20 off the Trans Canada and follow the signs to the park.
