RCMP are asking for public assistance in identifying a driver involved in a hit and run.

On Nov. 30, 2012 at approximately 9 a.m. police received a call reporting damage caused by a vehicle to the front of Acropole Pizza. The preliminary investigation revealed that a female driver had told a witness at the scene that the brakes on her car failed and she could not stop in time.

The female driver, who is between the ages of 30-35, left the scene without identifying herself.  A subsequent investigation allowed police to obtain video footage from a nearby business.

If you know the identify of the female in these photos please contact Pictou County District RCMP or Crime Stoppers anonymously anytime at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by their Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca <http://www.crimestoppers.ns.ca>.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $ 50 - $ 2000.

Maybe if you made the picture a little bigger people might be able to see her better to identify her. Even when you click on the picture it doesn't get large enough to really see her that clearly
